Andy on the up and up
Winning the Masters Series event in Cincinnati took RBS ambassador Andy Murray closer than ever before to the top of the sport.

Winning the Masters Series event in Cincinnati took RBS ambassador Andy Murray closer than ever before to the top of the sport.
Andy defeated world number three Novak Djokovic for the second time in ten days to win his first ever Masters Series tournament. The 7-6, 7-6 victory means the Scot is now closer than ever to achieving his goal of turning the 'big three' of men's tennis - Federer, Nadal and Djokovic - into a 'big four'.
After the match, Andy said that it had been a tough test. "They were some of the hardest conditions of the year. But I stayed calm throughout and didn't waste any energy - especially when I went behind in a couple of matches. In the past maybe I'd have let that get to me but now I'm playing top players on a regular basis and I'm better equipped."
There was more good news for Andy after the tournament too, when the new ATP rankings placed him in a career-high sixth position.
