Gaelic Football Championship

Games people play

Through UIster Bank, we sponsor the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship – the premier competition for Gaelic football teams on the island of Ireland.

Every summer, counties from as far afield as Armagh and Kerry take part in the knock-out contest, which is organised by the Gaelic Games Association (GAA). The final is played on the third or fourth Sunday in September in Dublin's 82,500-seat Croke Park.

The three-year sponsorship deal has taken the Ulster Bank Group to a new level in sports sponsorship. The GAA is the largest sporting organisation on the island with more than 750,000 active members, giving us an opportunity to reach a wider sporting community and complement the ongoing sponsorship of the RBS 6 Nations Championship in Ireland.

The sponsorship, which is in partnership with Vodafone and Toyota, will also give Ulster Bank new and exciting opportunities to profile the brand. These will include a fully interactive GAA road show, a fan specific website and a full calendar of marketing events.

Ulster Bank Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of RBS and is the third largest bank on the island of Ireland.
