RBS & Tennis

Serving up success

Since RBS started sponsoring brothers
Andy and Jamie Murray, the Scottish tennis sensations have climbed up the world rankings to take their places among the game's elite.

Few individuals in world sport have created as big a stir as Andy Murray, who burst onto the ATP Tour with a series of stunning wins. But RBS began backing the young Scot long before he reached the Top 10. In fact, Murray's association with RBS was established while he was still playing on the junior circuit in 2004.

The sponsorship, extended in 2006, sees tennis's most exciting rising star wear the RBS logo on his right sleeve at tournaments around the world - from Auckland to Zagreb - and at the Grand Slams of the Australian, French and US Opens and Wimbledon.

In 2007, we also also began sponsoring Andy's elder brother, Jamie, who has developed into one of the top doubles players in the world. He's a Wimbledon winner (Britain's first for 20 years) having partnered Serbia's Jelena Jankovic to the mixed doubles title in 2007.

Our agreement with Andy and Jamie also includes image rights and a number of personal appearances. They're both big supporters of RBS Supergrounds, our £6 million, six-year community programme to transform school grounds around the country.
