The NatWest Women's Series consists of one-day internationals and Twenty20 cricket, and was introduced in 2003 as England's women looked to formalise their international fixtures. The NatWest-sponsored Twenty20 match between England and New Zealand at Hove in 2004 was the world's first.
In 2007, England played six one-day matches against New Zealand at venues around the country, including Taunton, Stratford, Derby, Blackpool and Shenley. However, they were unable to repeat their 2006 whitewash of India, going down 3-2 to the Kiwis.
