A history of innovation
We've been pushing the boundaries of English cricket for more than 25 years. From floodlit competitions and man-of-the-match text voting, to our sponsorship of the first ever international Twenty20 match played in Britain.

We've been pushing the boundaries of English cricket for more than 25 years. From floodlit competitions and man-of-the-match text voting, to our sponsorship of the first ever international Twenty20 match played in Britain.
Our innovative approach to sponsorship continues to put cricket fans at its core, with animated umpiring decisions, free sun protection and an interactive roadshow that's now part and parcel of the whole NatWest match experience.
It's all a far cry from 1981, when we first gave our name to the NatWest Trophy, domestic cricket's answer to the FA Cup.
That long and fruitful association continued until 2000 but a growth in popularity of the one-day game – prompting our sponsorship of the 1999 Cricket World Cup – saw us change focus.
We moved into one-day international cricket with the NatWest Series, followed by our sponsorship of the NatWest Challenge, the NatWest Women's Series and, more recently, the NatWest Twenty20 internationals and NatWest Pro40 domestic cricket league.
This has all been supported by extensive community programmes and initiatives, which have encouraged children of all ages and abilities to experience the fun and excitement of the sport, and provided free kit and equipment to help make it happen.
