NatWest CricketForce

Inspired by Britain's obsession with DIY, NatWest CricketForce is cricket's biggest volunteering event.

But NatWest CricketForce isn't just a major cricket event - it's the biggest volunteering initiative of any kind in UK sport.

Every year, players, supporters, friends and families get together to help local clubs prepare for the start of the new season – everything from a lick of paint to major pavilion renovations.

NatWest CricketForce grew for the fifth year-in-a-row in 2007, with a record 1149 clubs taking part in the event at the end of March. More than 80,000 volunteers – including England stars Stuart Broad, Geraint Jones and Marcus Trescothick – helped out at their local clubs over the course of a weekend.

With generous support from NatWest and other business partners, the financial worth of NatWest CricketForce in 2007 alone was estimated to be in the region of £35m.
